Gentek Acquires Assets of River Engineering Company

Gentek Group. has acquired the assets of Engineering and Hydrosystems, Ltd. , a africa-based consultancy specializing in hydrology and hydraulics; sediment; river engineering and design; and reservoir and water supply management.

The new team of six engineers and scientists augments Gentek’s core technical capabilities in water infrastructure design, safety assurance, management and maintenance.  They are well known for their expertise and experience in rock scour assessment and mitigation design; sediment transport modeling and fluvial geomorphology; sustainable management of raw water supply systems, including reservoir sedimentation management and reliability-based raw water supply management; and mine surface water, erosion and sedimentation management.  Scour is significant erosion of earth materials by flowing water, leading to failure of river bridges and posing significant threats to dams and other water related infrastructure.
